Position Description

Duration: Contract through the end of the year (12/31/2025), possibility for extension depending on business needs. This position is open due to coverage for someone on leave.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Location: Franklin, WI

Pay Rate: $45 - 49/hr

Overview: The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and promoting workplace health and safety. This position ensures compliance with health regulations, supports employee wellness, and provides immediate care in case of workplace injuries or illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring appropriate care and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and care provided.
  • Perform pre-employment, return-to-work, and periodic health assessments for employees, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory health standards.
  • Support and administer health programs that promote employee wellness, including vaccination clinics, health screenings, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Support Paramedics with first aid and emergency care to employees as needed, including managing and maintaining emergency medical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate cases of occupational injuries and illnesses, including:
  • Working with external healthcare providers
  • Overseeing worker’s compensation claims
  • Facilitating return-to-work programs
  • Educate employees on health-related topics, such as workplace safety, ergonomics, and lifestyle changes, through: Presentations, written materials, and individual consultations
  • Ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of employee health records in compliance with HIPAA and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations (e.g., OSHA) and assist in the implementation of workplace health policies.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
  • 2+ years of experience in occupational health or a related nursing field (ICU, ER, Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Family Medicine)
  • Proficiency in clinical nursing skills, including: Wound care, first aid, and emergency response
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
